Description
No. 57, London Lane, is a cottage likely dating from the 17th century, although it was later refronted. The building is constructed of brick, with remnants of a timber frame still visible, including a fragment of corner post, wall plate, arch brace in the front wall gable truss, and square panels in the south gable. It is a 1½-storey, 3-unit structure, featuring a gable-end stack and an axial stack positioned behind the entrance. The front door has a modern porch. All the windows are renewed 3-light casements, including two dormers and one small window on the first floor.
