Description

No. 45 on Huddersfield Road is a house dating from the early to mid 18th century. It is constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two bays and two storeys, with a third bay from the 19th century set back to the right. The corners of the house are marked by quoins. There is a blocked door with a square-cut surround, flanked by a 4-light double-chamfered mullion window and a 5-light double-chamfered mullion window, although the 4-light window is missing two mullions. The first floor was raised in the late 18th century to include two 6-light recessed flat-faced mullion windows with king mullions. The house has ridge chimney stacks.
