Description
Denshaw Oddfellows Lodge is a house that has been converted into a club, built in 1818 as indicated by the keystone. The structure is made of hammer-dressed watershot stone and features a graduated stone slate roof. It has a central entrance plan with three bays and two storeys. The entrance door is framed by a rusticated surround and a keystone lintel, topped with a moulded hood. There are paired sash windows in the first and third bays, and a single sash window above the door; all windows have square-cut surrounds with continuous head and sill bands. The building also has shaped eaves gutter brackets and gable chimney stacks. To the right and rear, there are lean-to extensions. A taking-in door on the gable has been blocked, and there are recessed flat-faced mullion windows at the rear.
