Description
The barn located at a right angle, 5 meters to the east of Ibbot Royd Farmhouse, is dated 1838 and features the initials "S A". It is constructed of dressed stone with a watershot finish and has a stone slate roof. The barn includes an elliptical-arched cart entry with a simple Venetian window above it, which has an impost and a false keystone, with the lintel displaying the date. On either side of the entry, there are mistal doorways with sill-tie jambs and small windows that have plain stone surrounds. The right-hand return wall features two rows of arrowslit ventilators and an owl hole at the apex. The gable is coped with kneelers that do not project. This barn is included in the listing for its group value only.
