Description

This barn, located 15 meters southeast of Oldroyd Farmhouse, dates back to 1720. It is constructed from rubble that has been brought to course, featuring dressed quoins and an arch, topped with a stone slate roof. The barn has a basket-arched cart entry with long skewbacks and a chamfered surround. To the left of the entry, there is a mistal doorway with a straight lintel that displays the date and initials 'I S E' set within a decorative tressure, also with a chamfered surround. The barn is listed for its group value with the farmhouse.
