Description
Kilnhurst Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one dwelling. They date from the early 18th century and are constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys. The north front features quoins and two sections, each with a doorway that has tie-stones and a deep lintel, along with a chamfered mullioned window containing four lights, and two additional windows with two lights each on the first floor, although these lack mullions. There are two stacks at the ridge. At the south side, there is a single-storey outshut that is set back. The gables display watershot masonry.
