Description

A pair of buildings of mid-to-late 19th-century date, located in Crossley Street. They are constructed of stone and are three storeys high, each with two windows. The ground floor contains shops with simple stone pilasters and an entablature. The first-floor windows have cornices, and a crowning cornice is stopped by brackets. The roof is slated and has blocking. The buildings are included in the list due to their group value with other listed buildings in Crossley Street, along with properties in Wade Street, Northgate, Princess Street, Crown Street, and the Borough Engineer's offices in Town Hall Street.
