Description
The National Westminster Bank is an early 20th-century classical corner building located at 46 Crown Street. It is constructed from Portland stone and features three storeys plus a recessed attic that rises at the rounded corner to a dome covered in slate and lead. The building has five windows on each front, along with one on the corner and an additional one facing Crown Street. The ground storey is channelled and arcaded, adorned with carvings and decorative ironwork at the entrance. A prominent modillion cornice runs along the main roof, topped by a balustrade with urns in front of the attic. Its design and location make it a notable feature in the area.
