Description

The gate piers to Stansfield Hall, dating from the mid-19th century, are constructed from ashlar stone. They are square in shape with a plinth and cornice. The piers feature an embattled cornice with a leaf pattern on the underside, topped by a four-stage pyramidal embattled upper section. Each pier is connected to well-dressed return walls that also have a plinth and Gothic capping.
