Description

Milepost located on the north side of Hob Cote Lane in Oakworth, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and consists of two pieces bolted together to form a triangular sectioned, pyramidal-topped post. The top part of the right section is missing. The left face is embossed with the inscription 'Keighley 3 miles', while the right face reads 'Colne 9 miles', each accompanied by a pointing hand.
