Description
Clough House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 'IA 1686', constructed from stone with a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and features five windows on the first floor. A gabled porch on the left includes a moulded opening with a hoodmould, a dated lintel, an old door, and ironwork. To the right, there is a garage door that has been inserted. The ground floor has double-chamfered mullion windows with configurations of 2, 4, and 6 lights, while the first floor has three windows with 2 lights and two 20th-century windows. At the rear, there is an 8-light window with a hoodmould. Inside, the farmhouse has low ceiling beams, a stone ingle nook, stone doorways, and a second stone fireplace. Some of the windows were moved from a nearby demolished 17th-century house. The adjoining cottages are not of special interest.
