Description
Christ Church is a church built between 1845 and 1846 by W Willen. It is constructed of dressed sandstone and has a Welsh slate roof. The church features a west tower, a nave with a south porch, and a chancel with a vestry to the south, all designed in the Early English style.
The tower consists of four stages, with string courses and angle buttresses. It includes a clock stage below the belfry openings, a corbelled cornice, and a parapet. The nave has five bays, separated by buttresses, with a porch located at the second bay. It is adorned with lancet windows that have a string course below and a continuous hoodmould above, along with moulded gutter brackets. The chancel is narrower and consists of one bay, mirroring the nave's design, but features three lancets at the east end, with the central one being taller.
