Description
Oakworth Railway Station is a railway station built in 1867, with later additions. The building is constructed of stone with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof. It is a single-storey structure. The central gabled portion has two round-arched windows that include mouldings, keystones, and imposts. The left-hand section has three similar openings, with the central one serving as a doorway. The right-hand section is a later addition and is plainer in design. The station has a modillion cornice and stone chimneys. The internal fittings are complete and the station has been restored to its original state. It served the Worth Valley Line, which was also opened in 1867.
