Description

High Hob Cote Farmhouse is a building comprising two cottages and a house, now combined into a single dwelling. The cottages were constructed in the mid to late 18th century, while the house dates from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed stone with a stone slate roof. The cottages, on the left side, feature three first-floor windows. Two plain stone door surrounds with interrupted jambs are visible, the left one being blocked. The windows are flat-faced mullion windows, with some mullions having been removed. Shaped gutter brackets are present. A corniced ridge stack is also visible. The house, to the right, projects forward and is taller, with two first-floor windows. A blocked doorway with interrupted jambs is located to the left, while a tall three-light flat-faced mullion window is positioned to the right. Above the window is a single-light window and a three-light window. Shaped kneelers, ashlar coping, and end stacks are also notable features.
