Description

A pair of cottages dating from the mid-18th century, located on High Hob Cote Lane in Oakworth. The cottages are constructed of coursed stone with a stone slate roof. They are two storeys high, with three first-floor windows visible in total. The cottages have quoins. Each has a plain stone surround to its doorway with impost blocks, and flat-faced mullion windows. The right-hand cottage has a five-light window on each floor, while the left-hand cottage has a four-light window on each floor and a two-light window above the door (the ground-floor window of the left cottage was renewed in the 20th century). Unshaped kneelers are present, along with an ashlar coping. A corniced stack sits centrally. The rear elevation has two two-light windows on the first floor for each cottage.
