Description
This barn, located approximately 15 meters west of Cullingworth Fields Farmhouse, is dated 1701 and features the initials "RVM." It is constructed from well-coursed gritstone with dressed quoins and has a stone slate roof. The barn has five bays and includes a segmental-arched cart entry with composite jambs and skewbacks, above which is an oval date plaque. To the left of the entry, there is an arched arrow-slit ventilator and other random square openings. The gables are coped with kneelers. On the rear side, there is a doorway with a chamfered surround directly opposite the cart entry. The left-hand return features a mistal doorway with a quoined lintel and chamfered surround, along with an arched ventilator at the apex. Inside, the barn has a queen-post roof.
