Description
This building is a block of seven cottages, dated 1837, located on the east side of Main Street in Bingley, Wilsden. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The structure is arranged in an L-shaped layout, with Nos. 71 to 77 being three storeys high and comprising eight bays. There is a two-storey range adjoining the northeast of No. 71, which includes Nos. 1 to 5 Garden View.
The first-floor sill band is a notable feature, and the second bay contains an arched cart-entry to the rear, complete with a date plaque above the keystone and a two-light window on each floor. Doorways with monolithic jambs and single-light windows above can be found in bays three, five, and seven, while the seventh bay is blind at the second floor. The first bay has an altered window with a doorway to the right and a two-light window on each floor. Bays four, six, and eight also feature two-light windows on each floor. Bays three, four, five, and six retain their original nine-pane sash windows. The building is adorned with paired gutter brackets on the table and has five ridge stacks.
