Description
The footpath walls, likely from the 18th century, are constructed of dry stone rubble. They flank footpaths that run in two crossed diagonals up the hillside, with the north-western path leading to the hamlet of Wilsden Hill. The coping is formed by stones set on edge. These walls separate the two footpaths from the fields and former common land. They were probably created to provide access for piece workers living on the hillside and to offer a direct route to the earliest mill complex on Main Street.
