Description
The stable-coach house range on the west side of Stable Court at Esholt Hall dates from around 1727 to 1730, as indicated by the dated rainwater heads. This symmetrical, two-storey structure is built of sandstone "brick" and features a hipped stone slate roof. It has two window openings on either side of a centrally located archway that is full height and pedimented. The building includes an impost string and an archivolt arch, with blind oculi panels situated between the first-floor windows. On the ground floor, there are segmental arched coach house doors flanking the archway. Additionally, there is a single-storey extension from the later 18th century at the south end, which has doorways adorned with radial glazed fanlights and is flanked by square windows.
