Description
This building is a wool cloth warehouse dating from around 1800. It is constructed of dressed rubble stone with ashlar dressings and features a stone slate roof. The warehouse stands four stories tall and has flush mullion windows.
On the north-east street front, there is a boarded and partly blocked former three-light window on the left and a boarded former two-light mullion window on the right. Above these, there is a three-light mullion window and to the right, a former three-light window with two boarded sashes. The two upper floors each have two three-light mullion windows.
The north-west gable front has a single central set of wooden taking-in doors for each floor, all of which are topped with stone lintels and feature a projecting wooden hoist beam over the top floor. This building is a rare example of an early wool cloth warehouse, which were once very common in this part of the city.
