Cg Store, Harbour Street, Portmahomack

The Cg Store on Harbour Street in Portmahomack dates back to 1779, with an early 19th century rebuild that includes a three-storey, three-bay earlier warehouse. The building is three storeys high and has seven bays, constructed from harl pointed rubble with ashlar dressings. While it was originally symmetrical, there have been some alterations to the windows and doors on the ground floor at the north-west side. The first and second floors feature regular fenestration with smaller windows and some remnants of shutters near the wallhead. The building has a wide central door and a similar door in the sixth bay on the right (south-west).

The symmetrical rear of the building includes three doors, one of which is blocked, and three windows above on the first and second floors. There is an entrance on the first floor of the south gable, which is accessed by a forestair shared with the southern warehouse. Additionally, there is a central first floor door in the north gable. The building has flat skews, a dated skewputt at the north-west, apex stone ball finials, a slate roof, and a stone ridge.

Inside, the former warehouse retains its three-storey, three-bay structure, featuring a stone staircase, while wooden stairs are present in other areas.
