Description

The Victoria Memorial is a Grade II listed structure located on Princes Way, unveiled by the Prince of Wales, George V, in 1904. It features a striking bronze standing figure dressed in Imperial robes, sculpted by Alfred Drury. The memorial is elevated on a plinth and situated on a balustraded terrace designed by architect J W Simpson, who is also known for his work on Cartwright Hall.
