Description
Nos 16 and 18 on Church Street are a pair of semi-detached houses, likely built in the early 18th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof. The buildings have quoins and stand two storeys tall with two bays each. The paired doorways have composite jambs and a chamfered surround. The windows are double-chamfered mullioned with almost square reveals, while the ground floor windows lack mullions and have 20-paned sashes. Each floor has two bays of four-light windows, and above the doorways, there is a single sashed light. The houses have coped gables with kneelers and stacks, along with an additional stack on the ridge.
