Description
Numbers 153, 155, and 157, known as Beech Tree House, is a row of three houses built in the early to mid 19th century. The houses are constructed from hammer-dressed stone, with the left-hand return wall rendered, and feature a slate roof. They are two storeys high and have four first-floor windows. A band runs along the front, supported by paired stone gutter brackets. There are three doorways, each adorned with pilasters, an entablature, and a cornice. On either side of the doorways are sashed windows, with the window in the first bay (No 157) being a tall 18-paned sashed stair window. The building has two stacks at the ridge and one additional lateral stack on the right, and it is topped with a hipped roof.
