Description
This is a pair of houses located on Main Street in Addingham. They were built in 1826, as indicated by the initialled and dated stone marking. The houses are constructed of dressed stone with a stone slate roof. They are three storeys high and include a plinth, raised quoins, and window and door surrounds. Each house has a semicircular arched doorway featuring impost blocks and a keystone, containing a six-panel door and a spoke-glazed fanlight. The four-paned sash windows have plain stone surrounds and segmental heads on the ground floor, although the ground floor windows now have altered fixed glazing. The building incorporates gutter brackets, coped gables, and a stack, with an additional stack located centrally along the ridge.
