Description
Leventhorpe Hall is a square house built in the late 17th century, constructed from coursed gritstone with flush quoins. It appears to have been re-roofed in the early to mid 18th century, featuring a double pitch stone slate roof. The house has coupled gables on the east and west sides, adorned with saddlestones and shaped kneelers, and includes stone gutter spouts in the valley. The chimneys, which are corniced, date from the 18th and early 19th centuries.
Both the north and south fronts are symmetrical, showcasing coupled, chamfered mullion and transom windows set in chamfered reveals. The north front features a central mullion and transom stair light. There is an early 19th-century part-roofed gritstone porch with a squared jamb doorway at the center of the south front. The east and west elevations have single mullion and transom windows, some of which are blocked. Additionally, there is a moulded jamb doorway with a four-centred arch set in a squared head on the west front.
