Description
Prospect House is a house built in the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building is two stories high and has a three-bay main block with a lower two-story bay to the left.
The main block has quoins and a central glazed door set in a chamfered quoined surround, which includes a deep lintel and a single-slab hood supported by console brackets. On each floor, there are flanking three-light recessed-chamfered mullion windows and a single light above the door. The house has bulbous kneelers, gable coping, and tall corniced end stacks. The lower bay features a board door on the right under a porch, along with external stairs leading to a first-floor door. There is also a three-light flat-faced mullion window to the left on each floor. The interior was not inspected during the resurvey.
