Description

The cottages at 22 and 24 Holts Lane date from around 1800 and form a pair at the end of a terrace. They are built of sandstone that resembles brick, with a sill band marking the first floor. The roof is covered in stone slates with decorative brackets at the eaves. Corniced chimneys are present on both cottages. Number 22 features plain, squared surround windows, and a central, blind round-headed panel on the first floor. Its doorway has squared jambs and a shallow, flat stone hood. Number 24 has two-light square mullion windows set within squared surrounds. The doorway is similarly treated, with a cornice hood supported on consoles.
