Description

Nos 12 and 14 on Town End Road are a pair of late 18th century cottages, possibly a partial rebuild of No 2 Town End Road. They are two-storey buildings constructed from sandstone "brick" and feature stone slate roofs with corniced chimneys. No 12 has a saddlestone at the gable end, along with a kneeler that resembles that of No 2. The eaves are supported by console brackets. The cottages have two-light square mullion windows with squared surrounds and squared jamb doorways.
