Description
2 and 4 Ramsden Place is a late 17th century or early 18th century farmhouse that was divided into cottages around 1800. It is a two-storey building constructed of gritstone with a rendered facing and features a stone slate roof with corniced chimneys. Number 2 has single light squared surround windows, while Number 4 retains some original window features. On the first floor, there is a two-light window that was originally a four-light chamfered mullion window, along with a small two-light window to the right. The ground floor includes a three-light window that was originally a six-light chamfered mullion window. The doorway on the left side has a boldly modelled, ogee-shaped chamfer on the lintel that rises to a star point in the center, complemented by a large quoined surround.
