Description

This is an early 18th-century farmhouse, later extended in the late 18th century, and now divided into two cottages. The building is constructed from limestone ashlar and dressed limestone, with a tiled roof, ceramic ridge cresting, and brick stacks. It has a gable end facing the road.

The front of the building has three windows across the two floors. Number 1 cottage has a 6-panelled door set within a chamfered stone surround and a lean-to porch. There are also three-light recessed, chamfered mullioned windows with cast-iron casements on either side of the door. Number 2 cottage has a 20th-century six-panelled door and a two-light mullioned casement window. The first floor has three-light mullioned casements on either side of a two-light mullioned casement. The right return (side) of the building has 20th-century steel casement windows. The rear of the building features a 20th-century porch and door, two-light mullioned casements, and two gabled dormers.

Inside Number 2 cottage, the interior retains chamfered beams with run-out stops. The farmhouse ceased to be used as such in 1959.
