Description
Robin Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a half-hipped thatched roof with an axial brick stack. The cottage has a baffle entry and is single storey with an attic, containing two windows. The central planked door is set in a gabled porch, with a 2-light casement window to the left in a recessed chamfered surround, and to the right, there is a 2-light casement window along with a blocked doorway. An eyebrow dormer on the left side has a 2-light casement, and there is another 2-light casement window on the first floor to the right. The left side of the cottage has a single-light casement window on both the ground and first floors.
Inside, the cottage features deeply chamfered beams, planked doors, and two open fireplaces; one fireplace is blocked but retains its cambered lintel, while the other has a renewed lintel on chamfered stone jambs. A Tudor arched chamfered stone doorway leads to a rear extension.
