Description
The main office building for Tanks and Drums Limited is a former villa dating from around 1830, now integrated into the works. It is a two-storey structure built of sandstone "brick" with an ashlar front on the south-west side. This elevation features a dentil eaves cornice and a blocking course, with a central full-height canted bay. There is a sill band at the first floor level. The canted bay includes square mullions that separate the lights at the corners, with one window on each floor beside the centre, all of which are glazing bar sashes.
On the north side, there is a large projecting bowed wing that has three glazing bar sash windows. This side has a cornice without dentils and a blocking course. A set-back part of this elevation includes a first-floor window with three square mullions, while the ground floor, built out in ashlar during the mid-19th century, features two windows.
