Description
Tree House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1700. It has a symmetrical front and stands two storeys high, constructed from irregular courses of sandstone "bricks" with large flush dressed quoins and a caveto string course between the storeys. The roof is made of stone slate and features moulded coping at the gable ends with shaped kneelers. The farmhouse has late 18th-century corniced chimneys.
The windows were originally four-light but have been altered to two-light, featuring chamfered mullions set in stepped splayed reveals. On either side of a plain chamfered edge doorway with a plain lintel, these windows provide a balanced appearance. Above the entrance, there is an upright oval window with simple moulding, which is carved out of two blocks.
