Description

This milestone, located 200 meters northwest of Meadow Field, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It features an arch-headed stone that is overlaid with cast iron and has a triangular cross-section. The letters are in relief, with the top reading "KEIGHLEY & KENDAL ROAD STEETON WITH EASTBURN." The left face indicates "SKIPTON," while the right face shows "7¼ MILES KEIGHLEY SETTLE 2 MILES" and "22¾ MILES KENDAL," although the latter is obscured.
