  1. This building may have been built as an inn but is of the farmhouse type with barn attached. Dating probably from the latter part of the C18. Two storeys coursed sandstone "bricks" flush ashlar quoins. Double gate with gable end and stone slate roofs, saddlestones with shaped kneelers. Corniced ashlar chimneys. Original house front of 3 windows, 2 light square mullion flanking single light over doorway. Three light square mullion windows to left and the barn altered with large mullion- transom window inserted. Double gable side to road, 2 light square mullion first floor windows and large 3 light one on ground floor.
