Woodhouse Grove Methodist Church and School Chapel

Woodhouse Grove Methodist Church and School Chapel is a school chapel built in 1887. It is constructed of coursed stone with ashlar dressings and features slate roofs adorned with decorative ridge tiles. The building showcases Gothic Revival style with raised coped gables topped with finials, a plinth, and bands.

The layout includes a nave and an apsidal chancel, complemented by a north-west tower and a west porch. The west front features a projecting gabled porch with a pointed arched entrance that has two doorways and a central pier with a blind tracery panel above. On either side of the porch are single small lancets. Above the porch, there is a tall three-light pointed arched window flanked by lancets and hood moulds, along with a small triple lancet in the gable. To the right, there is a single lancet, while to the left stands the north-west tower, which has a single lancet and a quatrefoil above it. The bell stage of the tower is octagonal, with a single lancet opening on each face, topped by an octagonal stone spire.

The north and south walls of the church feature alternating single lancets and taller two-light pointed arch windows with gable heads. The apsidal east end is adorned with three tall two-light pointed arch windows. Inside, the church retains most of its original features, including a wooden roof, a western gallery supported on columns, nave pews, a wooden pulpit, choir stalls, a wooden reredos, and stained glass in most of the windows.
