SK 35 NE PARISH OF BRACKENFIELD MATLOCK ROAD 4/11 (North Side) The Plough Inn and attached barn II

Farmhouse, now public house and attached barn. Early C19. Coursed squared sandstone sandstone with gritstone dressings, Slate roofs with stone ridges. Rendered gable end stacks to house, two similar ridge stacks to barn, Two storey, two bay house. Central C20 porch over original door. To either side 2-light flush mullion windows. To west, advanced C20 single storey addition with C20 3-light flush mullion window. Above, two C19 2-light flush mullion windows. All fenestration C20. Lower, two storey, three bay barn attached to east. Two flush quoined doorcases to east. Single light flush window and flight of eight steps up to first floor door to west. Above, one single and one 2-light flush window with doorcase between.
