Description
The boundary wall, dated 1910, is constructed of ashlar and features a series of Imperial and Metric standard measures. It has stepped and ramped chamfered coping, with an off-centre flat gable that includes an inscribed bronze tablet and bronze measures for shorter lengths. A granite plinth supports bronze markers for the longer lengths. The wall is 100 feet long and was erected to commemorate the meeting of the British Association in Sheffield in September 1910.
