Description
The former garden boundary wall at Millcombe House, likely built around 1836 when the house was constructed, is a Grade II listed structure. This wall is made of granite rubble, featuring some dressed granite quoins and buttress weathering. It extends approximately 250 meters, following an irregular line that marks the boundaries of the garden and fields. At the northern end, the wall reaches a height of about 3 meters, while on the east side, where the ground is lower, it stands at around 1.5 meters at the southern end. The wall is adorned with battlements along its entire length, which do not have coping. The north end includes buttresses that are flat on the west side and raking on the east side, and at the very north end, there is a pointed arch food gateway with a plank door.
