Description
The boundary wall along the street frontage of Matson House on Matson Lane is likely from the late 18th century and serves as the front garden wall for the property. It is approximately 200 meters long overall, with the northern half standing about 1.3 meters high and the southern half about 0.75 meters high. The wall is constructed of dressed stone laid in courses, which is probably reused, and features weathered stone coping in two courses on both halves. This wall significantly enhances the setting of Matson House.
