Description
This milepost, located approximately 30 metres south of the junction with Morrell Street in Maltby, dates from the late 19th century and was made by Brayshaw and Booth of Liversedge. It is constructed from cast iron and is fixed on a gritstone pillar. The milepost features angled sides and a sloping top plate beneath a round-headed panel. The raised lettering on the upper panel indicates "ROTHERHAM & BARNBY MOOR / ROAD / MALTBY." The left side displays "ROTHERHAM / 7 MILES," while the right side shows "BARNBY / MOOR / 10 MILES."
