TODWICK KIVETON LANE SE48SE (east side) 4/94 Former cottages to rear of No 32

Pair of cottages now workshop and store. Early C19. Deeply-coursed, dressed sandstone, pantile roof. 2 storeys, both single cell. Each has boarded door with plain lintel on right of 16-pane iron casement with arched-soffit lintel. 1st floor: 12-pane iron casements with projecting sills and plain lintels. Rendered end stack on left, taller central ridge stack. Interior: original layout each with sill beneath front window, fireplace in left wall, boxed stair to rear right. Originally part of a row of 4 cottages. Well-preserved and uncommon survival of early cottage housing.
