Description
No 52 Hall Gate is a house that has been converted into a shop and offices. It was built in the early 19th century and has undergone some alterations since then. The building is made of stucco with painted stone dressings and has a concrete tile roof. It stands three storeys high and has two bays. The ground floor features a 20th-century shop front with a recessed central entrance. Above this, there are two full-height, unequally hung fifteen-pane sash windows on a plain sill band. On the upper floor, there are two unequally-hung plate-glass sash windows with projecting sills. The building is topped with a bracketed timber cornice and has a brick stack on the left side. It is included in the register for its group value.
