Description

No. 18 Hall Gate is a town house that has been converted into a shop. It was built around 1790 and altered around 1920. The building is constructed of stuccoed brick and features a slate roof with wooden bracketed eaves. It stands three stories tall. The street front showcases a fine early 20th-century shopfront, which includes a recessed entrance to the right, curved plate glass windows, and a moulded wooden surround. Above the shopfront, there are two glazing bar sash windows with raised surrounds, and above those, there are two smaller glazing bar sash windows.
