Description
No. 3 Pydar Street is a town house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 19th century and features incised stucco on studwork at the front, with a natural slate roof that has gable ends and slate hanging on the right-hand gable. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a two-window front. The original windows are 16-pane hornless sashes set within moulded wooden architraves that are topped with keyblocks. There are mid-floor string and quoin strips as well. The ground floor has been altered in the 20th century to include a shop front with dressed granite on the end walls and beneath the shop window. The interior of the ground floor has been modified in the 20th century, while the first floor has not been inspected.
