Description
The L-shaped barn range attached to Annat Royd Farmhouse in Ingbirchworth dates from 1805 and is constructed of coursed squared rubble with a stone slate roof. The main section features paired entrances on the left and two additional entrances in the center, two of which are partially blocked. On the right side, there is a tall, elliptical-headed cart entrance with an inserted lintel that has a keystone inscribed with 'J A Anno Domini 1805'. To the left, there are two high-level 6-pane casements. The wing that connects to the farmhouse has an altered cart entrance on the ground floor and stone steps leading to a blocked doorway on the first floor. Next to this doorway is a 2-light flat-faced mullion window. Inside, the barn has sawn softwood king-post trusses with oak tie-beams and a diagonal beam at the hip.
