Description
Carr House is a former pair of houses that has been converted into a single dwelling, dated 1782 and altered in the 1980s. The building is constructed of coursed, squared stone and features a concrete tile roof. It stands two storeys high and has three bays, with quoins at the corners. The entrance is located between the second and third bays and has a deep lintel with a quoined surround. The ground-floor windows consist of two, two, and three lights, while the first-floor windows have two, three, and three lights, all featuring flat-faced mullions. The house has moulded kneelers, a small ashlar ridge stack, and a truncated stack on the right side. At the rear, the ground floor is set back to earth. The left return has an entrance that was relocated during restoration from between the first and second bays at the front. The lintel above this entrance is inscribed with "Erected by John Smith 1782."
