Description
This is a cottage with an attached mounting block, dating from the early to mid 18th century, located immediately east of Underbank Hall. The building is constructed of coursed, squared stone and features a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has two bays. The exterior includes quoins and 12-pane sash windows set in raised surrounds. The gables have copings on cut kneelers, and there are ashlar gable stacks with a moulded string and moulded cornice. At the rear, there is a blocked doorway with a moulded architrave. On the left side, there are two 2-light double-chamfered windows on each floor, with 3-pane casements. Attached to the left side is a three-step mounting block. The right side features two 2-light windows on the first floor, similar to those on the left.
