Description
The Dell Cottage is a cottage, likely dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared large stone blocks, with a clay tile roof featuring coped verges and squared stone integral end stacks. The building has a roughly L-shaped plan, incorporating a main two-room cottage and a rear extension. The cottage has two ground-floor windows and one central first-floor window. The windows are glazing bar casements in chamfered surrounds, and were probably replacements for earlier mullioned windows. A central boarded door provides access. The south gable features a single four-pane fixed light window to the ground floor right, a glazing bar casement in a rebated surround to the first floor right, and a blocked attic light to the right.
